Welcome to Asnelles
The village of Asnelles is located on the Calvados coast, two and a half hour from Paris taking the highway A13, which is passing through the cities of Caen, Bayeux or Courseulles.
It is renowned for the beauty of its beach and its rich historical heritage, especially the one related to World War II. It is one of the key locations of the 1944 Invasion of Normandy, along with the neighboring city of Arromanches and, as such, it is an essential stop-over of any history tours.
In addition to its beautiful coast, the village of Asnelles, with its 13th century church, has preserved remarkable architecture. The 14th century Tithe Barn and gardens are currently being restored to open a cultural center for all.
Several pedestrian and cycle trails are available in the area.
